Day 59

So we (family and co.) decided it would be better to get a port inserted through which certified nurses can inject the chemo drugs and blood transfusions and draw blood when needed rather than getting poked all the time, so I have another procedure tomorrow. I have no clue what time this one is, but because I will be sedated for it, I'm not only a little nervous, but I also can't eat or drink anything until it's over. Lovely, no? I'm filling up on leftovers from dinner out tonight. My roomate is also having a procedure tomorrow for which she cannot eat/drink in the morning, so we may have a "lack of breakfast (and possibly lunch) party" in our room.
If all goes well, I should be home on Tuesday!!
Wish me luck!
Much love,
Marika

Hey Marika,

We're all thinking about you and rooting for you. And you still have your spot as a camp counselor for soccer camp in August if you're up for it! PLEASE start thinking up some drills, we need some new ones.

Love,

Ian, Dalya, and the girls

Hi Marika, I'm wishing all good things for you while you are continuing your treatment and better ones for when you are through with all the chemo stuff and able to come home. I'm so proud of you and the way you are coping with these difficult days. I read your blogs every day and think of you always. Love, Grandma.

Hi Marika -

I have been keeping up with your blog. Thanks for writing faithfully all of you. Living in Florida sometimes is harder than I thought it would be. Especially when friends are going through challenging times. I really miss TKD, all my friends and their families. I am so proud of you and want to tell you what an amazing young lady you are. Should have known you'd would be with the parents you have. Hang in there, My love and prayers are with all of you.
