Meet Suki

This is Suki. Suki will be coming home with me in exactly one week (November sixth) thanks to Laurie, Grandma and my mom. She is the cutest Havanese puppy in the world and possibly the cutest puppy in geveral in the world.
Sorry I haven't updated the blog in a while, but other than getting an awesome and enormous TV (thanks to all who contributed), nothing exciting has been going on.
I am still in remission. We found this out today. We will be getting a second and maybe a third opinion before we commit to a bone marrow transplant.
Much love,
Marika

Hi Marika...you don't know me. My name's AJ I'm 32 and I also have leukemia...and while researching online I came accross your blog. I've been following it ever since. I just wanted you to know that I find you to be so encouraging and outgoing. I love how you seem to view all this that you are going thru as just a temporary "set back"...because that is just what it is. A set back! And you still live your life to fullest extent possible. Yea I love that about you. I also have a simular outlook...so I feel we have this in common. our "Attitude"! I was worried about you as you haven't blogged in a while. I was really really worried. Found myself getting depressed. I do understand tho, I'm sure you haven't been feeling well. I'm just glad to hear you are feeling better now and are in remission. I too am in early stage remission. Tho I'm not going to have a BMT...so just choosing to keep it controlled with meds (Gleevec and other immune suppressant blockers) when needed. I'm in really early stage so I'm not even sure I understand what exactly this means and how much freedom I'm going to gain from the meds. At any rate...I'm really moved by your strength. Not many stay strong like you and I do. And I wanted to let you know that not only have you touched me (And it's strange because we're well ...strangers)and I care about you, but also you've encouraged me to keep strong! Suki is adorable by the way. Stay healthy and enjoy your new puppy. May he/she? keep your spirts up. I hope to hear more from you soon.
